Does that shop towel make your 1-7/8? ball a 2? ball.
Hmmmm! Now I know what to do with all my orphans.

Looks like You would have to take the grade two bolt out of the receiver to unhook from it-- take out the bolt then the
ball will come out -- just thinking out loud !! Roy

Two year old grandson just crawled up in my lap and was looking at the picture.

I asked him if that was done right.

"NOOOOO!"

"Doesn't look right, does it?"

"NOOOOO! Zbrkderobbdoffern!"

Or something to that effect! LOL

Reminds me of when I took auto body at our local community college.

We had an evening session on welding, and one older student brought in a Model A Ford fender to weld on with an acetylene welder. When we finished that section, the fender looked worse than when he started. Poor guy just never got the hang of it.

Every single solitary change in load or driving up a nity ramp flexes it into trash. (designed to be the mechanical fuse!!) Jim

a late friend bought a disk at a farm auction something broke so he took it town welding shop. the man there told him some people should not be allowed to own a welder and farmers are one of them.

Olliejunkie, funny you should mention Bondo. I went to a job interview at a small company that made plastic injection machines. The frames were I-beams and the guy was welding them up with a MIG welder. I know it can be done with MIG but not by this guy. I myself would have been using some big 7018 rods. Well the guy is by the open bay door for the fresh breeze. As we walk by one of the unpainted frames I commented on the porosity of the welds. I was informed that yeah it's not a good thing but there just isn't anything that could be done about it. They tried but "that's just the nature of welding". Said that they fill the welds with Bondo before painting. Now I've seen this done on pieces going to trade shows as demos, but not to hide structural defects. Just amazing. There were other alarming practices going on that I noticed in my short time there. Anybody else ever have one of those interviews where you're glad you didn't get a job offer?

NOT a welder. NOT an engineer. MAYBE a painter. But could be in the oncoming lane on your next trip to town!
