Ford 5000

Had injector pump rebuilt, injectors rebuilt and still when tractor is started at first it knocks real bad, but in a short time will smooth out. What is my problem ?

Might be cold fuel knock? Might be timing,could
be worn bearings that takes time to get oiled

Is it making white smoke while its knocking? Could be low compression on one or more cylinders, that aren't firing till it gets warm.

How many degrees forward should the timing be set on a 5000 Ford tractor.
