Grease Cups

I am brand new to the Forum. Moderator--if I have posted in the wrong subforum, my apologies. Please move or advise as necessary.

I would very much like to identify the attached TWO Grease Cups given to my father years prior to his death. Dad would have worked around farm equipment in Iowa and sawmills and autos in Oregon. I would be most appreciative as to any thoughts regarding the year and application.

It appears to be from a International Harvester machine by the logo on the cap. Don?t know what machine it came from but that logo was first used in the early 1900s until the 30s or 40s. You would full the cup with
grease then give it a turn or two to press grease in the bearing as needed. When the cap empty and hit bottom, you refilled it and start the process over again.

Thank you. Any ideas on the 1st grease cup? (The first two photos are a different Grease Cup) It does not have the IHC logo?

All replies appreciated.

Grease cups are a very generic product, and the one with no I.D. on it could have been used on a HUGE variety of applications.

They are still made, sold, and used today.

We have similar grease cups on the squirrel cage blower that provides air for our church pipe organ. I think they are called 'gits cups' after the company that still makes them: https://www.gitsmfg.com/products/lubrication/
