I think that's already in the works. There was a brief bit on the local news about hamburger being made out of grain and the people on the news station liked it. I hope they have success with it. There is an ever increasing number of people eating from an ever decreasing land base in my area. If they can ever make it to where you can't taste the difference and it's good for your health, I say good. gm

If your comment about the decreasing amount of land not being able to feed people is true, how come we have world wide surpluses of dairy and grain commodities and the worlds farmers are dealing with low commodity prices??? ------Loren

And then let?s hate farmers and ranchers for growing real beef . But it?s ok to make meat from chemicals? As far as world surplus of food I call bs and with the world population growth the way it is it will be even worse in a year future

Today's cows give twice the milk as30 years ago. Crop yield has easily doubled over the years as well partly due to higher inputs and genetics

Sounds a little pessimistic to me. I guess in some places people may say it with almost a snarl, but otherwise I have to accept that the thought is genuine. Otherwise, why even make the effort?

Loren, I know only a little about world wide anything. I refer to my area, where it seems that every day a new sub-division pops up in what had been prime farm fields for many decades. Increased population living on reduced crop acreage,,,,,,, it doesn't take an economist to see where that road eventually leads. Even I get it. Regarding agri-glut on the world market, I'm no wealth of knowledge on that subject either, but, there is also starvation in the world. If some stable genius were to figure out the politics of how to open that market, perhaps American agri-business people would benefit from that outlet. It seems to me, the most beneficial outcome for everyone lies in that area. gm
