Its on Facebook market place. In Central AL. Other pictures show hood,grill, and such removed. Possible to weld a block? I guess it depends...... ..

depends on where it is cracked an how bad. I think the block from a S66 might be the same as same size tractor, just row crop instead of utility. Would fit right in with your Fords for use.

If it is as nice as the pictures indicate, why was it taken apart? If all it needs is the sheet metal re-installed, why did they not already do that? Smells like a scam to me.

Wow! That's not even the same tractor! Look at the removed hood. That was the first thing that stood out. Lacking in the sheen department. Then the yellow coming through on the front rims & the rears aren't the same. Caveat emptor, my friend.

That is one I have always wanted but never found but with a cracked block that can be a big problem depending on where it is cracked. I'd offer maybe a 1/4 of what there asking for it unless they provide a good block. I can tell you this side by side it is a better tractor then your 960 is

Its a tough call,if you need another block then the paint won?t match even if you paint it first,$2000 is pushing it in today?s deflated market with a cracked block.

If your first and second pic are supposed to be the same tractor then it has two different rear wheels.
I don't think it's the same tractor.

That is not a 1958 model. It does not have the late sheet metal nor the later hydraulic nor does it have factory key start.

So the first picture is of one at a show somewhere with no connection to the seller it seems.The one in the 2nd picture is one he has,I like Olivers but not fan of the S55 or 550 tractors I'd offer $500.I have a motor in a parts 66 that ran good and also have a diesel out of a 660.
