A different green

Got this brochure in the mail today.
Seems a local Massey Ferguson; Mahindra; Big Tex trailer; dealer is adding a new line of tractors.
Thing I did notice is Deutz Fahr must target the real farmers rather than the home owner hobby farmer.
While they have a 55hp specialty orchard tractor the smallest open field tractor they have is 70hp.

I wonder if we will start seeing front mount 3 point implements now.

You are correct in that many Fendt tractors have Deutz engines. The exceptions are the large 1000-series tractors (MAN engine) and some of the smallest models (AGCO Power / Sisu engines).

The prices advertised in the add you posted , I would say, are very competitive with other imported tractors, like McCormick, Kubota, etc. I have a neighbor that loves the Deutzs tractors, and always has them. His biggest tractor is one of those Agroton with well over 150hp. They were very popular tractors here 30 years ago when they where connected to Allis, but farmers didn?t understand the importance of blowing out the cooling fins on the air cooled engines, and many blew the engines in their tractors. After the Deutz/Allis thing ended, Deutz no longer had a large dealer network, and while there were still some dealers, you really had to want one and drive some distance to buy a Deutz and parts became a bit of an issue also. Those that like them, still love Deutz. I did go shopping before I bought my Kubota tractor, and liked the Deutz well enough, but my Kubota Dealer is only twenty minutes away, the nearest Deutz Dealer to me, well over an hours drive.
