Sad story tractor involved

When my older brother was 18 back in the early 1960s he witnessed a 1955 Ford carrying a wedding party pull out onto a state highway right into the patch of a semi. The bride and groom and two or three others (I can't recall details) in the Ford died instantly. I remember him calling my parents, and they and my younger brother and I went to the scene five miles from our farm home. The only recognizable part left of the Ford was one rear door. My brother used a blanket from his '53 Chevy convertible to cover one of the bodies, and he later had to testify in a lawsuit over the crash. The wedding party people were apparently all drunk. To compound the tragedy, the dead groom's brother had died in a one-car crash only a few months earlier. Such sadness.
