3 pics of an "HM" tractor. Don't know anything about it. Does HM mean home made? Is that a Chevy 6 cyl engine? Nice job anyway...
 
Looks to be a big truck rear end. You can see the brake drum through the wheel. Those are inner budd wheel nuts holding the wheel on. The outer wheel would have big hex nuts that go over the inner ones.

That appears to be a chain and sprocket that feeds half an early Ford rear end which is the main steering component.
The guy who built this tractor was pretty handy!
Certainly a big step above your average "doodlebug".
