(quoted from post at 13:50:30 08/22/19) Electric fence was a battery powered outfit when I was a kid in the 1960?s . Batteries were around decades before.

My Dad had an electric "fencer" back in the mid 40s when I was a little kid.
Sometimes he powered it with a big dry cell battery but mostly with a plain ol' 6 volt car battery.

Another of his i seen in his home at claremore, okla. Dont know either feller but when they decided to run for politics they both became liars

NE Oklahoma is a great place to take a trip too. Claremore has these two really fantastic stops. There may be more but we got caught by the calendar. http://www.thegunmuseum.com/ gm

(quoted from post at 05:32:00 08/22/19) So there was electric fences in 1935, bet not many.

Yep. Electric fences were used to deadly effect in Europe in WWI to control "unauthorized movement" on a border controlled by Germany between 1914 and 1918. They estimate that that fence killed about 3,000 people. Folks started using electric fences for livestock in the US in the 30's.

(quoted from post at 03:57:39 08/22/19) And most men are now #2 of #8.
We learned from Will Rogers by observation to never stop and ask for directions.

For those that do not get this.....
Will Rogers died in a plane crash when he stopped to ask for directions in a storm.

Near Point Barrow Alaska. His Pilot was Willey Post, who only had one eye. Can't remember what plane they were flying. A Waco?
