312 case developed a flat front tire.i had forgot
last year took it to a big independant owned tire
shop.they complained about the open center rim.
They called complaining about the old tire, had
new tires for bla bla cheep price.i asked is that
tire bad? No well pull that 6 penny nail out n
fix it. Went to town got it,they charged me
$42.00 for repair new tube and break down
labor.seemed high.paid with check kept reciept in
pickup.
I broke the tire down today suprize suprize damm
old tube with 4 patches.their patch came off
never scuffed the tube or cleaned it before
glueing it on. I called they denighed even fixing
it. I gave them ticket number and of cource the
secretary is always gone call monday. I will be
there not expecting results but dammit im tired
of payin for not getting service

Yes but not big enough to raise an eyeball in the gubberments eyes. Sad they do this to us then wonder why we dont do more buisness.
Seen 2 tractors supposedly overhauled for big $ and all they did was change injecters set valves wash engine off change oil.
1 guy came to me asking as his tractor had lots of blowby and had 30 hours on an overhaul. Told him go back and tell them its smoking bad out blowby tube and wont pull.same old line of bs not broke in yet. I ended tearing it down.i had the guy help me as i got a bad elbow .we put new sleeves pistons rings main and rod bearings and had head worked over new oil pump too. The parts we took out were originals it had never been opened up.
The shop that broke it off in him, owner died about 3 days after we got it back togather

Neighbor called me last year about a tire he had fixed in town. Tire shop had mounted it with out a tube then put slime in it trying to get the rim that was not made to be run tubeless to stop leaking. I told him bring it down and I have a good tube I can put in it for you. It hasn't gone flat since

I found a transmission shop run by one person. The shop is not the neatest. in a old building shared with a auto repair business. I have trusted them for years. I know I am not getting ripped off by them. Stan

So long as there?s been deals made there?s been scams and there always will be. My dad worked in a tire shop in Toronto in the early 60?s 1 winter and he said there was a lady that used to come in and pay them to change the air in her tires. Pretty sure it wasn?t her idea.

I feel your pain.

But is it really worth it?

Chances are they will still deny any wrong doing.

Might be best to write it off as a never go back lesson than have it escalate to something ugly.

Yes still not big nuff. I know its not much money but hit 1 a day times 5 x 52 weeks then its grew from small change

Talk to the owner of the shop. The real owner, not the minimum-wage lackey who may have fixed your tire.
Will you ever do business with them again? I guess it all depends on what the owner will do to make you happy.

Unfortunately I hear more of things like this happening all the time.I'd take the receipt and the tube back to them talk to the owner and explain the situation.See what happens from there, the help might have needed a new tube like you paid for who knows.

That really sounds odd, I'd surely never head there again. Here in west central MN, I just had a tube put in an SC front tire, you know the 50# cast wheel,It went to the young husky kid at the tire machine who had it busted down and back together for $5. You're dealing with the wrong folks. This was in Parkers Prairie MN. They sell gas at pumps, bulk fuel out to the farms and have 2 bays for general repair. They also sell tires etc if you're interested. Smaller outfit, but reasonable and competent. Larry

I remember a few years back I took what I thought was a bad injector off a David Brown 995 to a local family owned tractor sales/shop. They said a new injector would cost $80.00 dollars, so I paid the money, waited a couple of days for the part to come in, only to find out they cleaned the old one and gave it back to me, but kept the $80.00.

FF: I suspect the AG and staff would have a good laugh about the claim around the water cooler for the next few days. Do you really think they would even raise an eyebrow?

I had a new tire and tube mounted on a rim from a 1020 JD. Setting in the shop overnight it went flat. They told me I must have ran over something. When they took the tire apart the new tube had a patch. They must have pinched it when they put in in the first time. They sell a lot of car and truck tires also. They always call when installing tires and try to sell you a 70 dollar alignment ,schocks or struts. They installed new tires on my wife?s car and called to say they checked the alignment and it was way off and might ruin the new tires, I asked them who told them to check the alignment. They said they always check it. Before they told me they charge 35 bucks to just check alignment. I told him the tires had 80000 miles on them and could run some more. He then said my wife must have hit something. I took it to another shop and was told the allignment was perfect.

Kinda far off im in missouri.im going to ask,if i dont get a decent reply,im saying to owner i will be happy to advertize for you thank you n good day

Just for grins and giggles complain to BBB. They are putting a lot of stuff on the net. More and more people will not do anything without looking online.

In my opinion they owe you the check back for your trouble and lost time for the tractor and then give you a new tube installed and the tire inflated. If they do not do that they are CROOKS and deserve to go broke.

My snl, daughter and kids just got home from Disneyworld. Expedition was leaking water from a heater hose, took it to a repair shop really close. 5 hrs. Later called it was ready. They charged $200 for 2 ft. Of hose. And $400 labor to change it. SNL mentioned $75 should be enough. Guy said not on Sunday! They left for home, made a growling noise up front. But if they slowed down to 60 quit. And also quit going down hill. Stopped at a big Ford dealer just South of Atlanta. Guy blew smoke into vacume system. Smoke came out just below heater hose, small vacume line to front axle kickout was cracked, or almost off. Guy cut it off and sent them on their way. Don't know how much Ford charged, but they were happy. We live in SE Illinois.

I had a tire repaired on our 5020 with a new tube. Next day it was flat. The shop sent a truck out, and the tire banger took off the outer tire, then the inner tire. The new tube was bad they had installed. So another
new tube was installed again. On with the inner tire, then on with the outer tire. The shop could have said it was just a hole, and charged me for a new tube, and labor, but they were honest. There are a lot of good shops around, and probably very few crooks. Stan

Should not have had to have a reason to do that, only if shop previous had done that kind of tricks.

In Parkers? I don't hardly every go to Parkers sense they got rid of the good AGCO dealer and the new one closed the place down.

We got a good place to have tires repaired in Battle Lake and another that has a good reputation in Henning. But reliable honest places are getting harder and harder to find.

The shop will just claim that the tube and everything else you show them are not the items they worked on.

Maybe for now on stand around watching while they fix stuff so you know they do it right?

If no other game in town.
