Where to buy larger taper wheel lug bolts?

Is there a place that sells wider taper wheel lug bolts for worn rims? Have a couple rims that the flange is getting too wide for the bolt to hold the rim tight. They are 1/2" in size.

Bolts or nuts?

might be able to make up some tapered washers or something.

I googled lug nuts and bolts there are a lot of options but unsure what might work for you.
perhaps just soft steel washers forced to become conical might get you by.

or a hydraulic press and some home made set of dies to make flat washers cone shaped

Oh my. Is this an off road machine like a tractor or is it a high speed like a car ?
If off road it should still center on the hub put some flat washers and regular nuts on it.
If on road get some new rims.

Check farm stores,i got some 1/2" wheel bolts that used a 7/8" socket big taper. Somewhere on line i seen wheel bolt hole repair kits they were round pieces you weld to rims worn bolt holes
As for bigger heads there is a pretty good possability the bolt will tighten on hub before wheel

Rather than asking where to get larger lug bolts I?d be asking where to get new rims.

check with a A&I dealer they have them with bigger heads I used to sell them when I had my shop open I still have them on the shelf but do not sell parts anymore sorry
cnt

You might want to find new rims unless this is a seldom used farm trailer. Larger diameter nuts might or might not work. If the hole is worn too large the larger diameter nut might bottom out on the threads before it gets tight in the tapered hole. I have seen the washer idea work for a good long time though even on the front wheels of a loader tractor.

Might want to try the 10 pack for $17 delivered first, lol.

The oversized hex lug nuts are favored by the left turn only "roundy rounders" to help stop loosing a wheel at speed.

These are bolts used on a mid 1950s tractor. I have seen new rims crack so I wanted to try something else first.

ord Model "A" cars had the same problem. A Model A parts supplier will have some washers to fix the problem.
