Fertilizer for fruit trees

I have a variety of fruit trees apple peach pear plum is there one type of fertilizer that would work for all four thanks Rick

Usually, the recommendation for "general" fertilization for any crop calls for a "balanced" fertilizer.

Balanced generally means equal parts each of N,P, & K. 10-10-10 for example.

I'd check with an Extension horticultural agent for specifics.

Generally if the trees are growing a producing well you can just use 8 8 8 for general maintenance.
How many pounds you apply per tree is based on age/size and type.

But the point is pretty mute right now because it is to late in the year to fertilize trees.

To avoid wasting money , get a soil test. Can be done inexpensively though your local university ag department. In Missouri , UMC does them for about $20. Find out what you need first. Fertilizer is not cheap.

All of the comments are good and valid but the other half of the equation is the minor elements consisting of zinc, calcium, boron, magnesium and manganese. There are others. These deficiencies can be checked by doing leaf analysis about mid-season.

KE ..... I'm not a bible-reading guy but I did a Google ...... great reply, one of the best I have ever seen!
