Someone has 5- 6 lug Chevy 4x4 rims with 31 x 10.5 15 tires. Is this rim extra wide for these tires? Will a standard 15 inch tire fit on these rims, or they special wide for these tires? Can't beat the price for free. If the will not work I don't need more tires laying around. Stan

The standard rally wheels were 8" wide.
A 255 would be a good size to match this rim. You may getaway with 235 if they were the taller version (78-75).
I prefer the 31x10.5.

That tire size is very common to put on OEM size wheels, I think the OEM wheel size is 15x7.5, if aftermarket its probably 15x8 . 15x10 is not too wide for that size but the 31x10.5 would look a little stretched out. For comparison the metric equivalent to a 31x10.5-15 is 265/75-15.

Sounds like these wheels came off a 80's K10 ( square body) if so the OEM wheel is 15x7.5 most called them 15x8, through the 70's it might have 15x6 wheels too. The OEM tire size was 235/75-15
