ran a 1150 versatile for 15 years wife and the boys drove it, I ran the planter now the grankids wont run the 1150 so we now work ground with a JD 4955 and I plant with a 4755 the 1150 just sits in the barn, thinking bout selling it but wife said no it was my first big tractor so to keep the grandaughtors helpin me had to buy and switch tractors. but I still have free help, well I have a hired hand the one that stole the corn from me, he still works for me. anybody else got big stuff just sitting and not using it?

Well I would ditch the hired hand that steals. I also have equipment that sets not being used. Some of it is back ups for future use. Some of it just does not "fit" the current farming operation. In my case the value of the equipment setting is not that big of a number when compared to the equipment we use.

Like your tractor is not that valuable in today's market but you know its history. Would it be used in the future???? The one major tractor we have that is not being used can be a backup for some of the others if it needed to be. Not the best choice but I have ran worse combinations.

That's a keck of a good motor especially at the low hp rating it's running in the versatile. That motor has been upgraded over the years now to the qsk19. It will be 23 years tomorrow that this farm kid just out of collage walked it the world of testing and building prototype engines and the first project was the qsk 19. I have moved up over the years and now it 78 and 95 liter engines.

I?ve never gotten rid of a combine here, wear them out and keep for parts. I need help....
