At the Fair: Red Dog

Never seen Red Dog run, but seems it would wake the dead with the exhaust like that--unless there's some kind of muffler built into the manifold.

No.... I have seen a couple like that. Sound really cool when you are on the
other side of the field. At night they kinda shoot some sparkles out of there.

A fellow used to bring 8-10 of them to the local fair. Most of them were like that.

I believe you will find that it is a spark arrester and not a muffler.

I've got a McCormick Deering 10-20 that is very similar to that tractor...except that it's gray. It's really not too loud, at least compared to other unmuffled tractors.

15-30 or 22-36 most likely. Seems a bit too long to be a W-30 or 10-20. Dad's W-30 had an air stack much taller than this and had a top output from the manifold with an upright muffler. Earlier in life dad had a 22-36 with exhaust like shown here and it was loud. No spark arrestor of any kind !!
