Anybody find a way to get the last 5 gallons of spray out of that flat bottom tank when the suction line is side mounted on the tank, other than lifting it up with the loader and wasting it?

Thinking out loud here. Tip it up to slosh the remaining liquid to one end. Get a barrel tap flanged on the inside, and put in in the bottom near the end where the suction line is. Attach a hose to it. T into the suction line and put a gate valve then a T connect the T to the bottom "drain" when it starts sucking air, Close the valve so it sucks from the bottom. Jim

Why not just plug the bulkhead fitting in the side, and move the suction line to the bottom, in a corner so you could set the tank to drain to that corner.

My 25 gal Fimco sprayer has a 3/8 plastic line that goes thru a snug hole in the top of the tank for the suction line. The end is cut at an angle. You can position it so it pulls from the lowest end or corner of the tank. It works good except when I am going the wrong way on a bank or hill so I try to finish up on a fairly level surface.

My 15 gallon has a drain plug you remove to drain it. Probably get one at the Farm or hardware store.

There are many many situations where it is desirable to drain down to the bottom of a tank and many many ways to do it. you should be able to put a replacement bulkhead fitting on it through the top near the fill hole, and run a pick up tube to the bottom with a weighted fitting on the end.

I mounted my tank on a board that is attached with a hinge to another board below it. When the tank is getting low I tip the tank up and block it with a short section of 2x4.

It's easy to drain,it's in the rear of sprayer, lift it up with the loader, and spray inside the filler hole cover, to clean it out!

I don't have that problem, the suction tube sits on the bottom of the tank at the rear and will empty it. Maybe you need to extend the tube.
