Well almost completed. I have not posted on here or the Oliver board much the past 2 months or so. I have been really busy trying to get the tractor done and also with work, family, a house, and etc. I had posted some pictures back months ago of various stages of assembly. Anyway we spent alot of hours the past few weeks on the body work and paint prep. More than I would like to count and I realized why I do not do body work or paint for a living! Lol. We just have a few finishing touches and a few bugs to get worked out before our local Gas and Steam show at the end of August. But it's 99% complete for now.
I am taking the tractor to a car show this Friday, it will be the first tractor at this Car/cruise show so we will see how the response is to it being there.

If they do not like it, just bump their fender a little as you back up! Looks good. nice job.

I was about 10-12 yrs old when those first came out..and totally into tractors as a farm kid. I fell in love with their modern looks. My first little diecast tractor was an Ollie 1800. They did a good job of competing with the JD 4010. You did the tractor proud. Nice job.

Absolutely a fantastic job!!! A lot of time and effort (and money) well spent, something you should be very proud to show!! A real eye opener,

I took a Ford 960 to cruise nights a couple times. I parked my trailer around the corner and came cruisin' in.

As nice as can be,better than new. But best i remember oliver and john deere seemed to finish new tractors better than others did in those years and earlier

Beautiful job NYO ...... I have an Ertyl steel model here for an Oliver 1655, looks identical to yours but the 1655 is maybe a bit smaller or older?

Thanks. I used DuPont Imron paint and
primer. It's used more for equipment and
insturial painting. Holds up very well
and is very tough.

A 1655 is a small series tractor than a 1800. But also newer in model years. The sheet metal is very similar though. Thank you.

They are great tractors. We have three of them actually, the other two still get used. The 1800 for me is in my top three favorite Oliver's. Thanks

Well when we started working on it two
years ago. It was just go thru freshen
things up, fix any issue we knew about
but then it turned into a complete resto.
So now it's going to be a show tractor
maybe some light work pulling wagons or
something like that. Thanks
