Got the number 5 mounted on my 312

Dad bought the number 5
in washington when he
was discharged from WW
II.he bought a 40 chevy
coup then bought a new
953wagon gear and box at
1 john deere dealer.then
seen the number 5 at
another .then in
colorado he found a jd
spring tooth harrow.
Still got all those
implements.he said 953
followed like a
charm.bet that was a fun
trip home back then.
He was in army 1 year
after war ended he
enlisted.

I just use it to mow
ditches anymore but im
sure i could go mow a 40
anytime i wanted.its
been kept up.think i
might paint it someday
Somebody posted
disliking pitman
mowers.i perfer them
less parts easy for me
to fix less cost too
 
This 1 still trails nice.
Dad said he drove 40 mph most the way back took 2 weeks as he stopped at dealers to look.i think mainly was happy to be home in usa army free
