the 2010 has a cleanable screen left sid behinh plates with three bolts have to remove brake rod to get it out i did say cleanable but that questionable as i never could get then real clean so change oil oh you have to drain the transmission hyd oil to do the job

I have a 2010. Drain the hydraulic fluid and pull the filter from the access port. Wash the filter in a solvent. I used gas. Scrub the pleats well with a toothbrush. Put it back in and install new transmission fluid.

WHY not tell us "the rest of the story"?

Did you buy it this way, or have you owned it/ been using it for a while and the hydraulics suddenly quit?

What "hydraulics" are we talking about, the three-point hitch, or is it equipped with auxiliary hydraulic valves and couplers?

Is it equipped with power steering, and (if so) has that failed, as well?

SV" is a "Waterloo guy", and your gem is "Dubuque-built"and is a "horse of a different color" from the 3020's and 4020's he's used to, and the hydraulic SCREEN is located on the RH side.

""Ben" took a stab at explaining were it is located.

These tractors don't have a wet clutch or wet brakes like their Waterloo cousins, ruling out brake ir wet clutch debris clogging the filter.

One needs to clean 2010 hyd screen with a solvent such as brake or carburetor cleaner then utilize compressed air blowing from inside out. Then stand screen open end up in a container then pour hyd inside filter. If oil runs through filter screen it should be clean enough for hyd system. The filter screen is located on RH side under operator platform.

Thanks for your feedback. Is the cover
plate on right side with 3 bolts. I have no
3 point hitch and no power steering

My neighbors 2010 hydos. quit last fall. This spring he removed the pump (did not require a split) thinking it was bad. It had a movable coupler to disengage the pump for starting and the fork that moved the coupler was wore out and no longer grabbing the coupler. I rebuilt the ears with brazing and he reinstalled and everything is now working. If you are going to remove the pump, I reccomend a manual.

So I have changed filter and fluid and filled back up. I need to know which side is lever is on that operates the 3 point hitch.

Thanks so much guess I have more
investigating to do. I can't get the 3
point hitch to do anything. I can raise
them by hand and push them down to lower

Free parts book on the JD web site shows where everything is located.
I don t want to spoil your day with bad news but a 2010 gas and the 1010 diesel are tied for the 2nd worst tractors that Deere ever built . The worst being the 1010 diesel .
Best thing to do is to get rid of the turkey. Should have asked here about the 2010 prior to purchasing the dud.

You should invest in a copy of the Operator's manual for your tractor. The operator's manual will give you things like lubrication info and the controls, which can be helpful in understanding the answers folks give to your questions. There are several pre-owned OEM manuals on eBay right now at reasonable prices.

Hi their back to jd2010. I found out my hydraulic pump is working due to blowing a remote hose. Trying to figure out what shuts flow off to remotes. Is there a lever that shuts them off or due they always have fluid running though them

The scv control is located under the dash accessed by removing panel ign/light switch is located in. Sounds as if clearances between spool & housing are too much which will require replacement of both parts as an assembly.

So I got my hydraulic line fixed on my 2010 and I got my power steering and remotes working but still can't get 3 point hitch arms to go up. I tried the lever on right side under seat where cable hooks to but nothing

Do you have the parts book and the service manual in hand ?

So I need some help still with my 2010 jd gas model. I got all my hydraulics to work today except the the point hitch. I move lever back and forth and it doesn't do anything

Their is a test port under the seat, plumb in a pressure gauge , i don't remember the exact pressure off hand . Maybe some one else does . You may need to R/R the three point section. If you do post back for some important info you need to know about removing it.
PS : The year, style ( row crop or utility )and serial number of your tractor would help.

Here is a start . What is the serial number ? Did you purchase or inherit this tractor? Is this 2010 for display at antique shows , occasional hobby usage on Plow Day with the tractor club . Or is this your primary tractor for use on your rural property ? What tasks are you expecting this tractor to perform ?
