Was looking at another forum (bad boy I know) when I came across a help identify this item post. Don't know if it was for sale and the poster was interested in it or not, but it was a bar rake, painted blue.
The replies were either Ford or New Idea, and at first glance looked possible. Got to looking at it later on again and my wife came into the office, looked at it and said "other than the rear axle being straight that looks just like our AC". I realize you have the right to paint your stuff whatever color trips your trigger, but to me if it's something you're selling make sure to paint it the right colors or be sure to let the purchaser know who manufactured it. There was a manure spreader for sale near here a few years ago, painted JD colors, but to my knowledge JD never made a end discharge flail spreader. Hope that whoever bought it knew or was told that it was a New Idea.

--Well it's my rake and I will paint it what ever color I dam well please--. I bought a bale conveyor several years back and it original color was kinda Cat yellow. Since it is set up to my red and white barn all summer, I painted it white with red wheels. I think it looks real sharp and I don't care what the next owner thinks of it.

I was at an auction several years ago mostly JD tractors and equipment, they had a New Holland rake painted JD colors complete with JD decals guess the fellow didn't want his neighbors to
know he was using a NH rake(LOL)

Many implement companies paint their products different colors and supply them to different dealerships.

I have a Farm king finishing mower that is green, you can guess which dealership I purchased it from.

I pull it behind a yellow tractor.

Farm King paints them your choice of red, green, orange, blue or grey.

Other than from 100 feet away a person should be able to figure out what they are looking at before buying it.
