Problems hooking up a PTO????

Me neither. "Beat it on, pry it off?" Worst I get is the release pin sticks and I have to give it a little rap. A drop of oil now and then is all they need. You'd also have to buy that end for all your implements.

Never taken me 40 minutes to hook one up either. Love how
he just lets the shaft slam on the ground at the end to. Some
people shouldn?t own equipment.

There has been several U-tube videos showing that crazy idea. If only one of those small pins break the
shaft is going self-destruct. flopping around. Good example of a self proclaimed engineer with the lack of
practical experience.-----Loren

I agree.
He is either helpless or hopeless and has a lack of practical experience.
He is also laughing all the way to the bank.

$499.97 X 3000 = $1,499,910.00

I have chain on all my pto machinery .i hang the
shafts up when the machine is unhooked. When i
put them on i squirt some oil on shaft and
tractor pto usually slides rite on or work it
back n fourth couple times

Seems to be a lack of shields! Obviously it it pays to have some understanding of how things work like most of us do, but think of all people that buy these new acreage tractors that are sucking that high dollar stuff up.

So he never greases the drive shaft so he can stay dressed like this. Looks like a disaster waiting ti happen. We do have a couple of tractors the PTO shaft splines are so worn I have to rock the shaft to get the PTO shaft off the tractor on some implements. I do smear some grease or oil on the shaft pin and yoke splines each year or seasonally depending on what it is.

My Cockshutt 30 requires a little tapping to get the PTO coupling on for most equipment. I've looked at it a number of times, filed the spline corners, checked the splines for straightness, measured OD. It's clean as a whistle and the coupler go on other machines without a hiccup. I can't figure why it needs a little tapping on pretty much every coupling, but it does.

When I work at our Threserman?s show every year, I do the Dyno testing...you would be amazed at all the trouble some tractors have in getting the shaft to slide on...the worst are the ones who just painted them when they restored them...I keep a couple of files and wire brushes handy...

Sometimes they can be a bit of a pain but for 400$
Versus a wire wheel and a can of liquid wrench and
maybe a few rap a tap taps I think I?ll pass . Maybe
for city farmers but In the other video he said his
friend who grew up on property couldn?t do it either
never really heard a farmer described as someone
who grew up on property so my guess Is two guys
that own 1.5 acres total couldn?t figure out how to
put a pto shaft on?
