I hate that feeling when I find a tractor I gotta have and no that it will sell before I get it or the fact that I will do whatever it takes to get it!
How many of you know that jonesing feeling?

I used to get that feeling a lot at Holstein cattle sales lol buy in
the spur of the moment and face the music when I got home.
On a positive note more often than not the ones I was able to
take home turned out to be good cattle.

Yep! Always finds a deal when
there is no way I can go get it
for several days.... knowing it
will be sold.....

(quoted from post at 07:05:11 07/24/19) In my 75 years never heard that term.
intransitive verb. slang. : to have a strong desire or craving for something he was jonesing for a drink

Maybe it's a west coast thing.

Quite prevalent in my area of Indiana. Only we say "Jonesin'". Takes too much effort to pronounce that dang "g" on the end! :) :)

And yes, I have that feeling often. When you NEVER have money, you find yourself jonesin' quite a bit!

Been awhile for me but found one yesterday that set me off. Got the money sitting in front of me. Trying to abstain as it is for horse hay but I have 6 months worth of hay in the barn already. The decision we have to make. Ugh!

Can you sell the horse now, use the horse money and hay money together to buy two tractors now and and then sell the hay in the barn next winter to buy a third tractor and maybe a fourth tractor?

That would be the smart thing to do but when I take on the responsibility of owning a animal it's for the length of their life or mine. I'm not taking on anymore animals in this life unless they are senior dogs and that is a ways down the road too as Cinch isn't quite 2 yet.
