I posted a picture yesterday of my concrete pour. Some members wondered why I pour a foot thick. Two reasons, Because I can and the other reason is because concrete companies have a four yard minimum, or you pay for a haul bill. Thanks for all your responses, I enjoyed reading them. Some were concerned about my lack of kickers at the front of the form. I have adjustable form supports to use, but I gave up, it was 94 degrees and 75% humidity. Ellis
 
Glad you Got Er Done. Speaking of concrete. I saw a concrete truck today with the hood up, and the drum not turning. Heading to a pour. How long can the cement set in the drum before it's solid chunk? I am sure it has happened. Stan
 
When I was working construction, we did a lot of work for Dow Corning. One day there was a chemical leak and the plant went on shutdown and everyone reported to their safe place. A concrete truck had just reported to our pour and the driver had to shut the truck off. About 5 hours later we got the ok to go outside and the driver took the load to the dump site and (surprise) it dumped. Ellis
