Not if your the one selling it ! lol.
I think the prices of those have dropped a lot with all the other choices of small tractors with better features on the market. If you must have an 8N if your happy that is all that really matters. If you got a cheap one it would be way easier to get more than that into the engine alone.

49 would make it front mount distributor which to me makes it worth less. $2500 is the upper limit for an 8N but if it has 4 next to new tires and does not smoke and has good compression and starts easy and the mower it in very good condition maybe

(quoted from post at 18:00:02 07/19/19) Is 2500 to much for a mint condition 1949 8N with a mower?

No. It's not too much. If you waited around long enough, or drove far enough, you could find a better deal, but that wasn't your question.

What kind of mower?
It seems those Ns are always advertised
as mint. And they always are mint.
Untill you find out they weren't.
If you Must have an N that price is in
the zone. They will do things a drawbar
tractor won't.
The difference between an 8N and the
2600 you mentioned before is like the
difference between a gas range and a
wood fired cook stove. Both will cook
your dinner or heat some coffee but I
wouldn't want to chop wood just to fry
an egg.

In ur situation I?d say ?need distinguishes valve? and as long as u are satisfied with its condition in as such u think
it will satisfy ur need, to for it, your money, your need!!!

if you really want YT,S opinion post pic someone will let you know if it is really (MINT) condition

Insufficient information, but probably.

I sold a very good 1951 8N user with Sherman combination transmission last year for $2,500 and had 2 buyers who wanted it. No mower.

I also have a VERY good 52 8N with Sherman combination transmission that I would not sell for $3,500.

That said, most decent 8Ns sell in the $1,500 range these days.

Skip the whole deal and find a real tractor with Live power and hydraulics. You will thank yourself later. Of all the fords out there the N series is the least practical and poorest design from what I have seen of them. Though not to many. Pegs for your feet to rest on instead of a decent platform or ride the clutch which I suspect most do due to the lack of place to put your feet or the height from the seat.

A LOT of people will spend a hundred hour cleaning and painting an N tractor all pretty then add new hoses belts etc . They are good for parades and are called trailer queens . After 10 hours of real use they will have oil leaks , low oil pressure , and poor brakes . It is a 70 year old tractor and may still be a good deal but don't assume it is , check it out .

Id rather have my vac cases, live hydraulics, start
easier,better brakes,overhead valves,lower
price,cooler better ride,easier steering and
better to get on n off with 4 speed transmission.
But thats my opinion.
Oh lift stays up when you push clutch in
