Went over o the neighbor's this morning. asked to borrow/rent his small 6' 3 point disk.Need to disk 'roadways' in my hemp field. He just gave it to me!It's a Massey Ferguson with adjustable gangs. Said he was glad to get rid of it. It was in the way,he never used it. Best part is it's ready for work.All blades and scrapers are there! All zerks took grease! Pretty good? I think so.

Several years ago a co-worker offered me a 14' Allis Chalmers tandem wheel disc for free if I would come and get it. I did not need a disc, but I did have need of a few disc blades, so I took him up on that offer. I dismantled it. I built several things using that heavy duty angle iron. I still have some of the blades, but nearly everything else has been incorporated into some project.

Quite a few years ago, when I wanted/needed a small disc, we were leaving on vacation. As we drove past the neighbor's place, he had put TWO eight foot discs by the road with a sign "Free, help yourself." We were packed and heading out so there was nothing to do but wait until we returned a week later, you guessed it, by then there was no sign of them anywhere.
