Tractor Seat Replacement

I am sure many have done it, who has replaced their tractor seat with a new high back with headrest and arms, which seat did you use, and do you like it? I am looking to replace the horribly
uncomfortable seat on my Deutz D8006, found one I believe will work, with making my own bracket of course.

They have many choices of tractor seats at Tractor Supply, but believe it or not, there is a website called tractorseats.com.

have seen many of them, the hard part is finding ones with any support and suspension that fit in the restrictions of space on the Deutz.

I've seen everything from office chairs to boat seats to bucket seats from 1970's Camaros installed on all sorts of tractors.

Tractor seats are VERY expensive. Seems like you put the word "tractor" on it and the price doubles or triples.

The key is to find something that you like, is available, fits, and within your budget.

i bought a universal suspension seat for my ford, my back made me stop riding iron seats, this one is JD yellow, but that's fine,i got one of them too, the mounting will adapt to near anything, its a great seat, i use the ford to brush hog, and im on it often, the spring is adjustable for your weight, and the ride is much better for me, tsc has them, this site has them ect

I put an aftermarket seat from Rural King on my Jubilee. Sitting on a board is more comfortable. I took it back to RK.

I found an antique aftermarket monroe seat made for a 2n. I put a new spring on it and shock. It's not as comfortable as the monroe seat on Farmall C, but it better than the OEM seat.

I would post pics, however something happened to cell phone. I can't log on to YT.

I had the same problem. Seat doesn't fit the space, steering wheel gets in the way making it difficult getting on and off tractor. Or seat is to high, your feet dangle.

I got one of the County line universal seats for my Ford 9000 6-8 years ago. It has a comfortable suspension and they come in all colors. The tractor stays undercover so the seat has lasted, but be aware that they will last only 3-4 years if left outside uncovered. The vinyl is very soft and much thinner than most.

Gonna bet somebody on here has their receipt handy and can give you the name and number. Earlier in the spring a noted ag equipment supplier had a high back, arm rested, suspension seat for sale that normally was up around $250, selling for around $110 bucks with free shipping. I bought one and I'm really happy with it....in the Branson 6530C.

If you don't like/need arm rests, this seat rides much better for me than the popular $99 curved back with arm rest (suggestions), of which I have on my 2000 and 3000 Fords.....TSC has both as do www dealers:

I made an adapter for this seat to fit my Branson 2400 and it is sweet as small compact tractors have a brutal ride....main reason, rears are like 12x16.5 6 ply industrials, sidewall stiff enough to hold the tractor up with no air.....almost........tire rated for 2450# each at rated pressure on a tractor that weighs 1800# for the whole machine...and if you let the air down below rated pressure and do any hard work, the tire comes off the rim....so that's out.

I disconnect the shock absorber on this seat and on the other seat mentioned above for a smooth, floating ride rather than minute little jars that your spine has to endure between hitting a bump and the shock absorber deciding to move. Pretty easy access at the top rear of the seat.....let the tension off, you out of the seat, plunger full up, top of the shock has a cotter key and a retaining pin. Pull the pin and the shock falls back out of the way, never to be heard from or bother you again.

Yes you have to have adequate tension to control hard bumps, but I keep my legs ready to catch any abrupt potential hard impact and enjoy my soft ride.
