I had three outside windrows left from the tree-lined field that I baled Monday. I turned the windrows late in the AM after making a delivery. I wanted it to have 2 hours of sun before baling it, but while working in my shop I noticed that the sun was not shining. I checked the weather site and saw rain clouds headed my way and not far out! I headed the half mile to the field and hooked up my baler and wagon, got it baled without incident, then left the wagon and took the baler home. I went back with the truck, and brought the wagon home. I had to switch over to a tractor to pull it into my shop, and it started to rain just as I pulled it in. I sometimes pull the wagon behind the baler down the road, but this field has a difficult entrance with a low hanging wire.

Your luck is far better than mine this year. I haven't baled any hay that has not got water on it before I got it in ther building. 1 load of squares and the rest were rounds. We covered the squares and next 2 days let the hot sun dry them out, put them in the building spaced out for air circulation and salted them pretty good, checked them every day and turned them over every day. They look and smell as good as they did when we baled them. Took a lot of time and I'm glad it was only 85 bales. the rounds we let sit on the trailer till the hot sun dried them and put them away, not much rain on them. I still have 4 more fields to put up, should have been done the first of July. I just love the weather this year "NOT"

Same here. Mowed one acre. Rained on it. Dried. Raked it, baled it, rained about an inch on bales.
Pretty poor.
Mowed couple acres. Let it dry. Raked it. Rained a bit on it.
Rolled only a couple of the windrows tonite. It MIGHT rain
some tonite. Hope not. Supposed to be dry for the next week, so gonna have
to go like crazy to get some hay.

If it doesn't rain tonite, I'll roll the rest of the windrows tomorrow.
MIGHT be able to bale them late tomorrow afternoon, or the next day. I hope!!!
