Tried out the first new potatoes from the garden today and they are great!
Looks like there should be a good crop.

LOOKS NICE!!! I didnt get mine in until Memorial Day. Rain, rain, rain. I dont think half of them came up! It dried up after Memorial Day to drought conditions... Until yesterday when the remnants of the tropical storm gave us some serious rain without letting it runoff. It would rain for 1/2 an hour; then dry for an hour, & then rain again over, & over again. This morning though water standing everywhere after I got off work at 3:30 am. Must have been some serious rain after midnight! Anyway not a good year in my area for them!

I am green with envy, I love the flavour of new potatoes. Maybe I should drop by for supper, only take me about three days to drive that far, lol. After 3 years of disastrous gardens, and another cold wet spring, we didn?t even try a garden this year, would have been a waste of time. Got virtually nothing last year, seeds rotted in the ground, and fungus took out our transplants.

Still time for Yukon potatoes, red beets, and broccoli among other veggies. I've been eating blackberries the past few days.

(quoted from post at 05:31:21 07/17/19) Looks good, do you remember the date you planted them?
These went in the ground the last week of April and have been blooming a while. No bugs this year. I've been lucky growing potatoes. Never seen a crop failure.
