At the present time, we here in s w central Iowa, are getting a much needed rain fall. Lawns were turning brown. Have been down on rainfall according to average.
 
Utterly amazing. I watch 2 national weather channels on Dish (214 and 215) during my noonish snack and you'd think the Corn Belt would be under water.
 
Be careful what you wish for.the storm hit us Saturday AM.the tag end of it dumped 15? of rain in one area yesterday! That was just yesterday not total for 3 days.it was slooow moving
 
I finished planting beans on june 14, the next morning it started to rain and we ended up with 12 inches in 6 days. lost every bean and several hundred acres of corn. replanted beans on july 1 and only had .2 inches of rain since.
 
We seem to get rain here in South Central Ontario about ever other day. Not enough sun and heat to make things grow at their best, but we will get some crop. Several hundred acres near me couldn?t be planted this year, and sits untouched.

Here is S.W., Iowa, the rain has now stopped. Barely settled the dust on the road.
 
We manage to get a downpour at least every 3 days here in S.E. Ohio. We have managed to mow, rake and bale some but it always gets rained on before we can get it hauled and in the building. Had to bust some square bales and round bale them and the rest of the field that wasn't baled yet. Hopefully we will get some dry weather so the 2nd cutting (if we get one) can be square baled, otherwise there will be a lot of rounds to sell. I'll probably have to stack some outside and tarp them if that is the case. I don't like to leave rounds outside as it does waste some of it and horse people don't want it. Most of my cattle buyers have sold off their herds around here. Keith
