Neighbor having a sale

80-ish year old neighbor is having an auction this Saturday. 4 running tractors - JD and IH. Lots of parts. About 5 miles southeast of Ladysmith, WI. I'll try adding a link.
Johns sale bill

the collection on the board, are those what i always called "weaners" put on calves nose to stop nursing the cow ????

That cherry 520,remington game master, stevens 66 and that winchester 94 in 32 special .dad bought me a 94 just like it,rare with pistol grip.some deadbeat broke in our house, stole it and 3 firearms that were keepsakes.i cant stand a thief

Make that 5 running tractors. Forgot the Farmall C he rebuilt a few years ago, when he could still get around.

If I were anywhere near there, I would grab that Win Model 100. The model 100 was a better design than the Remington 742 series semi autos any way you look at it. Not sure about collector value in the condition it is in. That Marlin Model 60 shotgun has the classic huge drop in the stock of the day. That son-of-a-goat-herder will kick like a Clydesdale! Only thing I'd buy that for would be as a wall hanger. (smile)

He actually sold off a few tractors and implements the last 3-4 years, and scrapped several pieces. And if John scrapped them, you can be sure they were beyond saving!

I dont remember what model, but yes, there's a Cockshutt. That was one that I pulled out for him yesterday. His brother was there, running the 300, but it just didn't have the traction to pull lots of the stuff out.

I talked to Mr. Kesan and Mr. Schindler, left a bid on the tractor I thought was Fordson. Rough, rusty model with bashed in rear fender, all on steel. A real prize. You'll be attending the sale?

Yes, I'll be there. Only 3/4 of a mile,
and there's a pair of Ford fenders I have
my eye on. My oldest son wants to bid on
some tools, too.

(quoted from post at 16:17:05 07/11/19) No, not a Fordson. Most likely a
McCormick Deering.

Ok, thank you.

It is the tractor in image 54 I'm interested in. Can't tell if #48 is the same tractor, but definitely 54. If you have any contact with the auctioneer, could you make sure it's clear which one I'm bidding on? You seem to know the machines on that place so you might be able to help clarify things. I appreciate any help,

Gerrit

#48 and #54 are two different tractors.
Steel front wheels kne one, rubber front
tires on the other. I'll try to get there
early enough to talk to the auctioneer.

Great, thank you!

The model 100 brought $400+ (don't remember exactly), the lever action .308 brought $600+, the Marlin 12 ga. was $150, the old .22 blog action was $145, and the 1898 Winchester was $2100.

I had stuff to do, so I came home after
about 4 hours... before any of the
tractors sold. Did you get your McCormick
Deering?
I did get the Ford fenders.

No tractor this time but another member on this site was kind enough to go and make sure my bid went to the right tractor. Sounds like it sold for a bit more than my max bid. Glad you got the fenders, looks like a sale I would have enjoyed.
