Can anyone explain how to install a drawbar on the Ford 2000? I have the assembly, and the drawbar that inserts under/into the assembly. However, I cannot find or figure out how it pins in. Or find the part number to buy one. Any help is appreciated. I have attached a pic from the underside. I asume the pin goes up but what holds it in place? Is it a bolt? Also, the pic is tilted a little. Sorry.

slide the drawbar through the rear most slot untill the hole in the drawbar reaches the hole up front, you will need a pin to secure the bar, they usually have a hairpin clip to secure the pin. the slot at the rear usually has hole drilled so you can cant the bar to one side or the other if needed. the pin will need to be the right length to fit properly.
 
I think what you need is sold right on this site. It's called a pin clip kit. Go to the Ford tractor parts for the 2000. Then to hitch parts. You will find it there. Yours looks like the 3cyl Ford 2000 if I am correct.
 
What you need is a pin that has a hole in it that rides above the draw bar. Pin goes in from the bottom and the hole is maybe an inch or so below the end of the pin so the pin goes into the belly of the tractor and also sticks out the bottom of the bracket. I mad more then one of them
 

The kit sold here is what you want. When you go to put your drawbar back in, it is impossible to see up in there to try to find a hole to put a pin into, whereas the correct one is quick and easy because the groove goes all the way around, and with the top end of the pin bumping the underside of the housing, it is in position for the spring clip to slide right on.

Install the draw bar at the length you need, Install the pin into the bottom hanger and thru a hole in the draw bar with the grove toward the top, insert the clip between the top of the hitch and belly of the tractor and snap the clip into the pins grove.
