Finally Done!

Finally finished all my spring planting Sunday. Never planted this late before. My earliest planted corn is about 8in high now. The last is about 2in. Soys is popping out and the last is just planted. Now if only we can get weather enough to finish first cut of hay. Wheat is starting to turn. Wonder if it will be a dry and long enough window to get it harvested when the time comes?

I finished Sat. night with about 10 acres of sorghum that was planted into some prevented planting ground for a neighbor. Nice feeling to finally be done. Hoping to wash the planters today and put them away. It is going to be a long late fall in lots of places. Tom

Good for you Jon. Finally dried out for a couple days there didn't it? That stretch of dry weather we had was the longest stretch of drying we had since beginning of May. It's still too wet around here. We shut down any planting 2 weeks ago. We got about 1/3 of our normal crops in, all late. Way late. We'll leave the rest lay fallow and plant wheat and rye on it this fall. Gotta do what ya gotta do. Keep on keepin' on Jon.
