Sweating to the oldies

My main round baler (hesston 845) has been down this year. It needs belts, and a new starter roll. It will drive you absolutely crazy trying to start a bale. I was down to about 8 bales an hour with it. I decided to take out the old chain baler (NH 845). It's been getting the job done, although it doesn't put much hay in a bale. At least I'm not hating life while trying to roll hay. Then, my air conditioner breaks. Riding around in that hot cab watching that antique baler sure reminded me of riding around with Dad!

I will take an open station tractor over a cab with non working AC. LOL

One of my repair customers has one of those Agco-Allis tractors. It is easy on fuel. Not a very nibble tractor. Seems to be mechanically rugged. I hate anything dealing with the cab/ac/wiring on that tractor. It being a SAME tractor really shows in those areas.

It's been a really good tractor, except the wiring burned a couple of years ago. I almost couldn't get a new harness from agco. Dad bought the tractor new in 97. He always wanted a new tractor. He traded in an Allis 170 with a year a round cab. You're right about the open station being better. I might hook up the farmall 560.
