Home from Red Power

Made home late last night from Red Power. We put 2770 miles on the pickup. Only problem with the truck was that the CD player jammed. Here are a few things that come to mind.
1. It is really hard to find country music channels on the radio, unlike at home where we have three to choose from.
2. On our travels we went by a lot of Kubota dealers. It seemed like every little town has a dealer. They sure have a lot of inventory on display.
3. The most expensive gas is when you need it. Price range from $2.98 down to $2.47.
4. Enjoyed driving the back roads. Seen a lot of nice looking well kept places. Found a few antique store to do some treasure hunting at. Stopped at a barn sale. One thing you do not find at Amish sales are tractor parts.
5. Friend told my to check out Shipshewana in northern Indiana off highway 20. Town had all kinds of Amish stores. Wife really enjoyed herself there. I thinks she bought enough supplies to keep her busy making quilts until next year.
6. In Gettysburg, there were so many fireflies (lighting bug) it was almost unbelieveable. I have not seen that many in the last 50 years.
7. The worst roads were in the states that have tolls.
8. Only thing that we did not do that was our list was to check out is a local winery while in Pennsylvania as we ran out of time or they were not open when time allowed.
9. It is time to start making plans for next year. It is in South Dakota so we probably load the ATV and do some adventure riding in the Black Hills.

Regarding the CD player.....Get Sirius radio.
We love it. Any music you want.
Our fav is the classic radio programs station.

Went up on Saturday with a few friends, 300m each way. Nice show. The air condition vendor building seemd to be a hit the hotter it got.
