...18th Birthday? Today is mine, so I thought it would be interesting to see what others did on there?s.

That over 46 years ago.......can't remember, but the legal drinking age was 18....that's probably why I don't remember.

Happy birthday to you on your 18th birthday.

Hope that you have a good day.

I can't even remember what I did on my 68th birthday 2 months ago!

I was still in HS, had a nice dinner with folks, then went out for a beer, drinking age was 18 for me.

For me it was milking cows twice a day and we had a Hugh snow storm so I was plowing snow for the milk truck to get in the next morning. That was back in 1976.Have fun and enjoy.

Can not remember what I did on my 18th but I sure remember what I did a month later on my friends 18th birthday.

He had a open bar for a group of friends.
They had to carry me home.
When they got there my mom ask what I had been drinking.
They told her Iced Tea.

Mom went ballistic not knowing there was a drink called Iced Tea.

TDJD, happy birthday! Let's see, July 1993, on my 18th, I tied some camping gear onto my motorcycle and drove to The Boundary Waters wilderness area in north MN, and rented a canoe and paddled to Canada and back. Portaged that heavy thing myself all over the place. Camped on islands. Saw lots of wildlife. I recommend it. Have a fun day!

August of 1966- had graduated from high school a few months before, don't remember anything momentous but was probably working my job at the neighboring farm, changing hand line irrigation pipes and making hay. Sure do remember my 21st- I was in Basic Training at Fort Lewis, Washington, and drove the bus for the troops to go to the visitor's center that day. Woodstock rock festival was that weekend- I wouldn't have gone, but it seemed ironic, somehow.

6/21/1959 - graduated H.S. 2 days earlier....Mom made me a birthday cake.....went to bed early in preparation for my first non-farm type job; working in a bank.

I registered with the Selective Service, and then went down the street and surrendered my drivers licence for three months.

Colorado has a point system, I had a 4 pointer for a rolling stop and another 4 pointer for a railroad crossing ( lights only-no arms coming down and there was NO train in sight). That put me 2 points over their "limit" for under 18 drivers.

Happy birthday!

I don't remember doing anything special for my birthday.

I do remember the same year I turned 18 the Texas legal drinking age was lowered to 18.

I didn't drink when I turned 18, but by the end of that year I was. A decision I later learned to regret.

Be careful, growing up can be a challenge!

Happy Birthday.

Wow, 46 years ago earlier this month. They had just lowered the drinking age. I went to work baling hay for my sister's father in law. Not actually baling hay, i was a hay stacker  . He ran the tractor and the baler, I just rode the wagon. Got done, showered and went out with friends for a beer then picked up my girlfriend. Didn't have but one beer, had to work again in the morning. Made the girlfriend my ball and chain 6 months later. Flushed away that beer a few hours later, still got the ball and chain.

December 1973, graduated HS that summer.
Don't remember but probably feeding cattle, stripping tobacco and building my first car.
64 Fairlane, 289 with Crane Fireball Cam, Holley 4bbl carb and headers.

Legal drinking age was 18 for me too, then a year later they raised it to 19, then in my 21st year they raised it to 21 where it is now. I never have been a big drinker tho. I can't remember what I did on that day, but I'm sure it involved my ex-wife and some woods somewhere. Lol

Happy birthday, no idea what I did on my eighteenth in February, only reason I remember the last one is my daughter made these posters for a party.

Some classmates in my Gr.12 class took the causeway to the big island on our local lake and we had a beach party, always remember that. Oh the good old days...

Well, MY 18th fell on a Sunday in May 1965.I don't remember what I did, for sure, but i'm sure it included most of the day with my girlfriend, now wife. At that time we had already been dating for 2 years. We got married in Aug. of 66.

Worked, just like I have pretty much every other. Never got the idea of why a birthday should be such a beg deal. I had guys working for me that wanted the day off on their birthday! Come on, you're a United States Marine and you want your birthday off like you're a 3 year old?!!!

Graduated from H.S and a week later started working on the steel mills in north west Indiana .Hot dirty nasty job ,but was making good money

Registered for the draft and was fortunate enough that they needed me during the Vietnam war. Past that, I don't remember. Happy birthday.

Don't remember about my 18th, but I spent my 19th in boot camp in the Marine Corps.

My daughter won't forger her 21st. She rented a 4 bedroom house with three other girls, and for two weeks ahead of time they plotted how they were going to tear up the town on her birthday. When the day came, they had a snow storm and the electricity went off. So, instead of tearing up the town they huddled in blankets waiting for the power to come back on.

I was working at a Chrysler/Dodge/John Deere dealership, drinking age was 18 and going out for some drinks was a rite of passage then. It was during the week and everyone I knew was working too, so an early boring night for me.

Come on Bret? You expect us to believe Marines are adults? I think Crayola makes the Marine MRE's........

Sorry, just had to have a little fun with that.

We had that in the Army too. Not only guys who though they should have their birthday off, but commanders who gave em that day off.

Don't remember specifically, but within a day or two of it, started my first "real" job putting together Oldsmobiles in the Lansing plant.

That was in October of 1968. 4 months later, in February of 1969, I was freezing my buns off on the shores of Lake Michigan, enjoying the hospitality of Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Center.

Back in the day the legal drinking age was 18. My b-day is a couple of days ago so after throwing bales all day I went and got the beer.

My birthday is in January so probably hauled out hay bales to the cows and hauled up fire wood before messing in the shop. My girlfriend was 16 at the time so we did nothing and that my story! Always heard 16 will get you 20(years in jail)

I was working at a electrical supply house (how I got into the electrical field and what led me to where I am today)...anywhoo....at lunch time, took a co-worker with me and went to a local shooting goods store and bought a Mossberg 500 12G shotgun, ventrib barrel and slug barrel. Still have it today.

I was just out of basic training, and into my ground school of flight instruction. Some of the guys in the flight took me to a bar. We started ordering various drinks. I remember after the martini(3 different drinks previous) the bartender said 'it is not a good idea to mix alcohol drinks'.

I woke up the next day around 2PM. My truck was parked in the SgtMaj reserved spot, my bunk was upside down, and on top of me. I was in a pool of - let's say 'vomit' and leave it at that.

I was ordered to report to the CO as soon as I was clean. Our meeting -- did not go smoothly. But, I avoided permanent damage, went on to fly for the Army, and have been wary of alcohol ever since.
