Just watched an episode of Green Acres at the end they actually gave a credit to Hoyt-Clagwell
as providing the tractor for the show. I always thought that was just a made up name, not a real
tractor manufacturer. Probably just another spoof added to the show and they sure enough
hooked me. They sure had good writers for that show. I always thought it was funny when Lisa
would mispronounce words and all the locals would say it the same way. Like the other night Lisa
spelled shopping list ...shooping... Sure enough they get to Druckers store and he asked to look at
their shooping list. Lol.

Television shows in the 60's provided the escape from the reality of the real world, things like racial tensions and the Vietnam war. The shows had to be good, and the writers made it happen.

Wish they could put new shows on like those old shows.
Dont watch tv much crime drama cheating 0n your spouse and just plain stupid shows

According to Sam Drucker, the Hoyt gang split from the Clagwell gang and went into the apple polishing business.....that's why Mr Douglas could not get parts for it, opening the door for Mr. Haney to make a sale!

The networks decided that by the end of the 1960 s there were not enough people in the TV audience with rural experience to understand the humour .
