Spraying With The 2090

Spraying crops was easy when it was so dry all spring. Since this 5 inches of rain it got a little more interesting. Scared me a time or two when the sprayer started to sink and the old 2090 was spinning it's wheels but I managed to finish the last field without getting stuck.. Some of that reclaimed land got a little flooded and I had to leave a little safety margin around it to avoid making ruts.
Kind of good to finally unhitch from the sprayer for a while. Now time to get on the haybine if I can find any hay tall enough to cut.

Yes, that 2090 is a rough riding tractor :) But seriously, the I- phone is a poor choice for shooting video while driving. Since I'd left the Gopro camera at home I made do with what I had.

I always hated to drive over a crop after its up, especially when wet.....sometimes there is
just no other good choice. Enjoyed the video.

You soon get over worrying about a few tracks. They disappear pretty quick except for where it was mud and the tractor leaves ruts. Earlier is better as the crop seems to recover quicker. This should have been sprayed a week ago. Although spraying later does get more weeds. Some guys are having to spray twice as the recent rains brought on a new crop of weeds. Once is enough for me.

(quoted from post at 07:36:26 06/28/19) what chem did you use on your oats & what part od world are you in?
Southeast SAsk. I used Buctril M to control the broadleaf weeds in the oats. Its a little more expensive than MCPA or 2-4D but it gets the wild buckwheat so its worth the extra.
