Where has this water been stored during the last several years?

I was a day and a half of dry weather away from being able to finish planting. Then we got 2" of rain on Thursday. Hoping to get back in the fields today and plant tomorrow. Calling for rain again tonight and tomorrow morning though.

Instead of working the ground and using the drill to plant soys, I'm trying my no-till planter and going over it twice splitting the rows. I'm hoping my other fields are tiled good enough. Not holding my breath.

Here at the Lake of the Ozarks I have been trying to get hay done but with all this rain I have only had one time I could cut and bale any hay and did just maybe a 10th of what I need to do. I cannot remember ever doing hay this late in the year. Most year I do hay in late May and early June but looks like it will be July this year

And yes right now we have thunder and rain and a flood warning

I've done 6 big round bales so far and that is it. The first time out I do not like to cut a lot till I know every thing it going to work like it should and well this year was normal the first time out things did not go well. Flat tire on baler and th Oliver S88 had fuel problems
