One of those grumpy old men with a thumbs up at us from a day or so ago, arriving in Nebraska from Iowa. This morning he was cruising westbound @ 14 mph in the Bancroft, NE area. He is having people knock on his camper door at campsites to give him money for his cause after he shuts down for the day. Meeting with Gold Star family's along the route. He must be nearing his halfway point on the cross country trip. Since this is third trip across wonder if he is driving his '48 JD tractor with the most odometer miles of any tractor ever made. I'm just guessing north of 11,000 on his odometer, still running strong with maintenance daily.
