Saying good-bye at the airport-It was tuff on both of us!---Tee

My dad passed away 34 years ago today. To the day. He died on Father's Day 1985. It was also June 16.

My dad has been gone since June of 03 and still missed by us all. He got me started in this farming habit and I'm reminded of him every day in some way. Many old photos and video. Some of which I've already posted here. This one from the early 80s is one of my favourites. I don't own that land anymore but the rock pile on the hill is still there.

My dad had a JD45 also. Maybe it was that dusty job that helped ruin his lungs. I remember him with a bandana tied over his mouth like a bank robber. Thanks for the memory.

I'm there with you guys missing my dad. 6/21/81, fathers day weekend. Always a tough time. I miss him, my grandfather, my father in law and all those other older men who were proxies for my dad after he was gone. So Gunner, Uncle Frank, Burt, Jim, Don, Gary and all the other men that kind of helped steer me in the right direction, thanks! You may be gone but you aren't forgotten.

No substitute for DAD ... thanks for posting. Reminds of my father, Army 3rd Infantry -- 1951-1953 Korea. Still grasping the impact of his life several years after his death in 2017.

Lots of eights, my son was born 8/18/88, hottest, driest summer ever. My dad died in 1954, I was five.

Nice to read the great comments on this. While my dad is still around, it does inspire me to call him up after I type this. I don?t know what I would do without him.

My son was born 07/07/07. He is named after my Grandfather. Calvin who taught me how to fish, swear and other life important activities.

We all miss our Dad's all right. My Dad has been gone since 96. So much I wish I had talked with him about. He started out with horses farming, and got tractors when they came out in the 30's. He farmed all his life. Miss you Dad. Stan

My Dad passed 4/15/81. Stopped at the cemetery today to say happy Father's day. WWII vet and as honest and hard working as they come. Often wonder if we would have gone to tractor/equipment shows together if he had lived longer.

4520-My Mom would write the info on the back of the pictures when she got them developed. About 3-4 years before she died my daughter and son in-law came down one day with some kind of copy machine and we went through all of her pictures and copied the ones we wanted. I am so glad we did for most of them disappeared just before she died. I have some suspects but that is another story! Memories---Tee

Great pictures.. always wondered what it would be like running a cab less combine in barley ? I bet with the right cross breeze it wouldn?t be bad ? I like my cab even though no ac the fan does work and keeps it pretty decent actually
