Mobil DTE 16m for tractor hydraulic fluid ????

I have a 1964 Farmall 460 diesel. I have just gone through the entire hydraulics including replacing the pump. I have access to a entire unused drum of Mobil DTE 16m Hydraulic fluid for $50.00. I am not sure if it will be compatible with my tractor hydraulics so any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

No I wouldn?t use it. You would need Mobil 424 if you want to stick
with Mobil oil. Reading the information on the Mobil DTE oil it?s not
recommended for hydraulic/transmission in tractors.

Well dang that stinks. I was just hoping since it is a ridiculous deal on sealed barrel of Mobil for $50.00. Thanks for your help.

Yeah but. There is one thing missing from the high tech description. it is extreme pressure, "EP" qualification. Gears that pump hydraulic fluid are not the same as force transmitting gears. I have dramatic faith in Mobil products., and use them in CNC mills and Machine tools, but not in gear boxes

Not sure where this is coming from. Mobil products work extremely well in my CAT drive trains.

West. Buy the drum and trade it for something else. The Mobil 424 suggestion was very good advice.
