John Deere 644 A loader

Does anyone know where to check and add transmission oil on a JD 644A loader? Also what oil is used in the transmission? I have a manual ordered but has not arrived. Thanks much

Center pivot should be a sight glass down tward the bottom if it is like its big brothers, 824 and 844. We run Shell Spirax S4 TXM at the mine in the Deere loaders.

644a used the Funk transmission. Call your local JD Industrial dealer for the correct info.

I found the dip stick and it fills at the dip stick hole. I did have help, as the dip stick is on the floor in the cab behind the seat. If the design engineer would just check it once, he/she would find a more convenient location. Thanks for the replies, so much knowledge on this board. Thank-you
