Need couple of tires. Hauls no loan not driven over seventy miles per hour. Tire size 265 r 70 17
inch diameter. What is most economical tire yet giving smooth ride. I do not drive truck in winter.
It's stored from November to April first. Has never been on salted road . What tires would anyone
recommend? I looked at some at Walmart , feeling sidewall. Thinking if side wall is soft to
pressure touch., tire should ride well.

tried Hankook there crap tires and noisy, I ran toyos on my semi and had good luck so im on my 2nd set on pickup , for your needs go with the h/t tire smooth as glass and quite

I've heard a lot of people speak very highly of Hancook tires.

It sounds like you're for tires that will only be used on pavement, or do you need traction in mud, gravel and wet grass too?

No extra traction this is likely my last new truck. Vanity I guess but I enjoy a nice looking truck. Have rough 4x4 for winter and hauls and tows all dirty stuff. Thanks

your not going to beat the Michelin smoothies. I have them on my Duramax. I wore out 4 sets of good year wranglers sinse it was new and tried these now. very happy. used them all winter also. the goodyear did have more traction in winter though. nothing wrong with them either.

never buy "cheap tires".

i have had the best luck with GoodYears and yokohamas. have Michelins on my wifes car. have held up well but are very harsh riding.

my daughter has General altimax 43's on her car. they have been ok and were a consumerreports best buy and were quite resonable $wise. have had ok luck with firestones but tread didn't last very long. my inlaws had 100,000miles on a set of bridgstones on their silverado a few years ago.

my dad has bought cheap no-name or sams club tires for is old 1986 F150 (70,000miles) that sits in the garage 90% of the time. those cheap tires go bad even inside out of the sun and not on the road.
