The one you do not want starts. So since I have a window of 3 days with out rain I was going to go out an cut some hay. But to do so means I have to move 3 or 4 other tractors to get to the BA which is the hay mower. The Case VAC started right up but had a missing alternator bracket bolt so had to put that on. The W Speed Patrol I had to mess with the battery cable for it to start. The Oliver S88 would not even so much as spin over so have to charge the battery. Then the BA well it spun over for a moment but that was it so going to have to charge that battery also but the S88 has to move before the BA can come out. Oh well such is life

Well your the one with the motto of "If it ain't broke don't fix it" aren't you. There's been a new phrase going around for a couple of years now, something about preventive maintenance.

They have all sat in the machine shed over the winter an this is the first try to get them out and being that it is normal to have a battery to 2 that does not want to do its thing and when you need to move 5 tractors the chances of a weak battery on at least one is very good

If you have a good Schumacher battery maintainer what I do is use a tiny set of jumpers like for radio workor such. 24/26 gauge wire. I park the three garden tractors side to side and clip the wires to every battery in parallel. The one maintaner takes care of all three machines no sweat. In the spring you still need to air up the tires but they all start.

Hey Old, I just want to know how in the world did you get 3 days without rain. We haven't had 3 days forecast since I cut the first field. They lied about that since it rained for 4 days after I cut it. Looks like this is gonna be another 2018 all over again. Looking at the next 30 day forecast we won't have 3 days without rain until it will begin on June 29th. I have hay down now and it looks like it will be pretty darned clean hay LOL. Keith

Believe I was surprised to see a forecast that had 3 days dry and should have cut it yesterday but they change the forecast

Someone needs to invent a "quick change" battery for old tractors. Kind of on the order of a cordless electric drill.
