80W90 RL5 vs 90W RL1?

Looking to replace trans/diff oil in 64 Ford 2000 tractor gas engine w/4 spd trans. Seen both 90W RL1 oil and 80W90 RL5 oils. Not smart on the RL ratings other than some notes on yellow metal concerns. Question is 80W90 RL5 safe to run in this old tractor?

I think you mean GL1 or GL5 oil. GL1 is mineral oil with little or no additive and is to be used with parts containing brass or copper. GL5 has additives that are required for some applications. GL1 is getting harder to find.

Yes meant GL1 vs GL5, thanks.
Still question is can GL5 be used in the transmission and rear end of 64 Ford 2000 gas tractor w/4 spd trans?
