Neat mower for you IH guys

All the 1872 Cub Cadets I've ever seen were yellow and white. Last Red Super Garden tractor was the first SGT, 982. That tractor is missing the rear PTO and Cat Zero 3-point hitch. To buy those much desired parts about doubles the price of the tractor. I have both items on my 982 and have never used the rear PTO but use the 3-point all the time. The frt hydraulic outlets are handy too.

I'd have to see more pictures but pretty sure that tractor was built by MTD AKA Cub Cadet Corp. as the serial number plate above left foot rest should show.

Buddy of mine had black and chrome decals made for his 2072 CC. Really makes them look nice in my opinion.

That is a REAL garden tractor. The Cub Cadets of today are Junk. I have two examples to back that up.

Someday I will tell you what I really think. :)

To a IH Cub Cadet person, that 1872 CC is also junk as it was made by CCC which was a division of MTD at that time.

For a period of time after IH sold the cub cadet line to CCC/MTD,
CCC/MTD built and sold certain models in both yellow&white as well as IH red.
The yellow and whites being sold thru CC dealers and red ones being sold by IH dealers.
The 1872 may have been done this way, or maybe not.

What I can't understand is why you bought the second one. It's a shame what MTD did to them. There is so much plastic on them that they sometimes accidentally get thrown in the recycling bin with the laundry detergent jugs.
