Do yourself a favor and keep safe and be glad you forgot to put that explosive in your repair kit. Keep safe.

Lol, it does work quite well doesn't it? When I owned my grain trailers, I did all the tire swaps myself. Tried 4 cheap tires once, couldn't get them to seat even with the bead blaster. Too hard and stiff a rubber. Sprayed a bunch of ether in there, lit em up, and wouldn't you know it, they seated. Only used that technique a couple of times afterwards, but its handy to know.

Lyndon It does work well kinda have to be a little bit
careful but it will sure seat a tire that doesn?t want to

How long a pole do you use with the fire on the end of it. I destroyed some old black powder my brother had when I was cleaning out his stuff. Poured it in a pile in the drive way, did like the old cowboys did and ran a trickle of it back about 30 feet and ran. HOLY COW, did that stuff go off and a black cloud drifted away over the top of the trees. Don't monkey with tires much so never tried the ether trick.

I just spray a little ether out on the sidewall of the tire for the fuse on a really hard to seat bead hook the air hose to the tire light it and she?s on

When I used it on truck tires, I used a propane torch on an 8 foot pole. The big thing to remember is that a little ether goes a long way.

Glad to see you have a valve stem fish tool. That is such a handy little tool and only a couple of bucks on Ebay. Getting a tube in a tire is almost a snap with one of them. If you have a plugging tool and those rope plugs use the Camel brand for very good results and I use weldwood contact cement to goop them up. No leaks!

Jeff I got this at bomgarrs for under 5$ I had to put new valve stems in the wheels on my fencing trailer and that thing worked a lot slicker than trying to use a pair of needle nose pliers and not tear the stem

(quoted from post at 21:22:48 06/07/19) Get a generic "bead cheeta" and quit trying to kill yourself.

Bob, I have one, and used it quite extensively. But it isn't a perfect solution, as like I said, I had a set of tires that were extraordinarily stiff, and the bead blaster tank wouldn't quite get them to seat. So, after an hour of fighting with the bead blaster, out comes the ether can. Problem solved.

I like your emergency kit a lot! The old boy scout motto, be prepared! It's sad that the boy scouts aren't what they used to be.
I have an emergency kit too, with a bead seating tool! Plus a couple hundred pounds of tools, but nothing compared to your tools. I can't count the times I have given someone a jump.

RLP If this generator will run and weld it?s going on the truck to . If I get enough fencing done today I?m going to try it out tomorrow . I made this tire kit because I got thinking I?ve got a truck full of tools and a diesel air compressor and no way to fix a tire .
