I have one each of those.Bought them both new from the local Hesston dealer in the early 80s.BTW,I test drove a real one at the dealer once.didn't like it a bit. Cab was small, hard to see out of.Controls were unhandy. Overall construction was 'chintzy'.I doubt they actually sold any.

The Hesston toys occupy a front row in my cabinet. (Looks like it's time to dust, doesn't it?) Got a few more Hesston tractors scattered around on other shelves.

Steve any of the guys I?ve ever talked to said the same thing you did . I ran one for awhile raking hay and the biggest things I hated about it were the controls they had them scattered on both sides of the dash a few up through the floor and beside the seat and the shift pattern made an early Belarus look easy to use . I always liked them because they said Hesston on the side . A neighbor tried one hooked it to a 14 foot vibra shank and it couldn?t even wiggle it and it was around a hundred horsepower and mfwd

There are areas of the country that they are commonly seen but they never were a big seller. They are pure Fiat - the only thing Hesston about them is the name and paint color. After Fiat purchased Hesston they used the established Hesston dealer network in North America to sell these Italian-built tractors. This lasted until Fiat sold Hesston to AGCO in 1991.

I see you have the Hesston v rake . I always wanted to find the Hesston silage wagon finally got the Hesston swather a few years ago in the farm machines blister pack not ideal but it?ll do

I know of 3 Hesston tractors two about 120 horsepower and a big ol 160-90 and that?s the 3 I?ve seen in real life

Had a neighbor who was the cheapest guy on the face of the earth- One day a brand new Hesston "mudder" showed up at his place- the model with equal size tires on all 4 corners. Goofy looking thing, but I used it once for haying, and it worked OK. He must have got it almost free, because it was the only new thing he ever bought. Only one of any brand I ever saw.

coshoo A friend of mine bought a case ih mudder to do hay he bought it cheap he?s already wanting rid of it
