Didn t have time to look at it last night was late getting it home so I just left it on the trailer anyone have any advice where to start looking supposed to have have a clutch put in it but I don t know that for sure any advice will help

Thanks :D

SHORT version...

You need to check clutch pressure, which should drop to "0" when the clutch is fully depressed. Port is on clutch valve on side of tractor body, basically down below your left heel when foot is touching clutch pedal

If it DOESN'T, you have clutch valve issues.

Also, there's a "lube reduction valve" that slows the flow of cooling lube oil between the clutch plates when the pedal is fully depressed. If that doesn't work as intended, there will be more clutch drag.

Beyond those possibilities, the multi disc wet clutch on the engine flywheel could have warped or damaged plates, or be set up wrong.

IIRC on the JD forum there was talk of this issue and pictures of the valve that operates this and there were springs that break in there ? It may of been a 4430 or 4440 though ? not sure if the valve is the same.

Ok thanks for the help I m gonna look this weekend I ll keep you posted I m hoping it s not the engine clutch but it s sounding to me probably is if they messed with it

Pretty much if the gauge goes to zero on the clutch port it s most likely the engine clutch

Thanks again
