Crop Update And Rain

At last it rained a little with a thunderstorm last night. Not sure how much and guess the dry ground soaked it up pretty quick but its the first real rain this spring. I'd just put together a brief video update of some of the crop for youtube showing how well the crop is hanging on despite the dry conditions.

Glad to hear you did get some rain. Been somewhat of a break in the rain here and lots of planting underway now since the late spring was so wet.

Had our first rain last night this year that amounted to any thing. 4 tenths of inch. With wind today dried pretty quick.East of Yorkton SK. by Manitoba border.

Last night's rain did not amount to much. I've heard reports of 1/10 to a quarter inch. I was out planting potatoes by 9:00 with no mud on my boots. Shoveled up dry soil below the damp surface. It sounded like more than it was. Guess I've forgotten what real rain sounds like. Cooling down for the weekend and still a chance of showers.
